Antioxidant Anti Aging Diet

Aging is a natural phenomenon of getting weaker, both mentally and physically as age progresses on. This change in the condition of body is inevitable and hence one will undergo these changes in their lifetime. There have been several theories on how aging occurs. The most widely accepted of them all is the oxidation theory. Aging sets in due to the process of oxidation. The substances that are reason behind one’s beauty get affected due to this action. The possible way by which one can prevent oxidation is by antioxidants. These antioxidants prevent oxidation and furthermore react with free radical formed by the process and hence deactivate them. Hence the substances called antioxidants can be very much useful in anti aging. There are several antioxidants that are available as supplements for food and in several cosmetic creams and lotions. In addition to this, Antioxidants are available in common food also.

 

The main antioxidant that is found in food is the beta carotenoid. This antioxidant is found mainly in carrots and other brightly colored food materials. There are also other antioxidants that are available in several other normally consumed foods. They include grape juice, red wine, watermelon, papaya etc. These food materials when consumed release the antioxidant on digestion. This antioxidant that gets released will act upon free radical that might initiate oxidation process, and will deactivate it from further reaction. As a result, the oxidation process stops and anti aging behavior is obtained. Hence it is strongly recommended for one to see whether their diet contains sufficient amount of antioxidants and hence get desired results.
